2017 Color Trends
Winter has certainly settled in here in Wisconsin and with it came the bitter cold and the snow. While I am not a huge fan of winter, there is one thing that I know I can look forward to this time of year and that is next year’s Pantonecolor trends.
Thepantonecolor of the year for 2017 is Greenery. This fresh green color instantly reminds me of spring and the new growth we see that time of year. With the social and political tensions our country has been going through this past year, I think it symbolizes a fresh start. Green is a color that is always associated with peace, and I think that makes it agreat color to put in the spotlight for 2017.
Along with the color of the year,Pantonealso released the color trends for spring 2017. These are the colors we can expect to see being used primarily in the fashion and interior design industries. If the color of the year, greenery, didn’t give you thoughts of spring this batch of colors definitely will!
This spring’scolors are vibrant. One thing you’ll notice with all the colors is that they can all be found around in nature. This spring’s trends fit perfectly with whatPantonewas trying to achieve with the color of the year. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of thePantoneColor Institute, said that “Designers applied color in playful, yet thoughtful and precise combinations to fully capture the promises, hope and transformation that we yearn for each Spring."
I am a huge fan of bright, vibrant colors, so the trends for this upcoming year are very exciting to me. I am looking forward to seeing these colors used this spring and the new beginnings they symbolize.
